Tabernacle Food Pantry Walking against Hunger

TMBC Members walking the walk
June 25th was a stellar day for the TMBC's food panty took to the street along with other churches and organizations to fight against hunger. Members joined in The Greater Chicago Food Depository's annual 5K Hunger Walk which directly benefits the Food Depository's network of 650 pantries, soup kitchens and shelters in Cook County which Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church is proud to be a part of. It's said that people came out in record numbers.

Tabernacle's food pantry is open every third Friday of the month between 12:00 noon and 2:00pm ready to meet the needs of the low income households as much as possible in the 60653 and other area codes. If you would like to donate to the food pantry please make checks payable to Ms. Lois Lester and note "For Tabernacle Food Pantry" or use our Paypal Donate button and in the Paypal notes add "For Tabernacle Food Pantry".

The food pantry is a very worthy cause and hopes to be there for as long as possible, but it takes finances to make that happen because we do have to buy the food.

Every third Friday Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church gives out food to needy households in the community. If you need food come down to the church.
