Tabernacle At the Greater Chicago Food Depository 28th Annual Hunger Walk

On Saturday, June 29, Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church took gathered on Chicago’s lakefront to help fight to end hunger in Chicago. The Hunger Walk is a fun opportunity for people to show their support for the Greater Chicago Food Depository and to raise funds for it to help feed the city's hungry!

1st Sunday At Tabernacle

We do The Lord's Supper on 1st Sunday. This is a serious time in the Church. It's a time to reflect on the Savior's sacrifice as well as reflecting on yourself.

Mission Sunday

Today was Mission Sunday, where we celebrate our mission workers. Our theme for the morning was "Mission Through Service: Commanded To Be So" and was taken from two scriptures: Matthew 28:19-20 and 1Corinthians 7:21-23. Our Pastor, Rev. Willie Green Jr. got us started with a few words and a song then turned it over to the Mission Society. We had wonderful time and Minister Berthine Patt did a great sermon.
